How to introduce a new employee to the team, in four moves: the email the day before with the name, the role, the manager and the first work; the introductions on day one, each with the reason that person matters to the new hire's job; the named person who answers anything for the first month; and a real working session with a colleague on the day-one calendar so the introduction becomes work. The onboarding checklist on this site lists each with an owner, free and without an account; HeadcountDesk Pro records them done.

The email, the day before
Name, role, start date, manager, first project, one line the new hire agreed to share. From the manager, in a few sentences, so the team can greet them by name.
The introductions, with reasons
Who hands over work, who approves expenses, who knows the system: each name with why it matters. On the calendar, in person or on a call, not left to whoever passes.
The named person
One person for the first month, on the checklist and on every day of the week-one calendar. Not the manager.
The working session
A real task with a colleague on day one. The team is met by working with it, and the checklist records it done. From the vendors' own pricing pages: Homebase lists Essentials at $24 per location per month billed annually or $30 monthly, with a free Basic plan for one location of up to ten employees; BambooHR lists Core at $10 and Pro at $17 per employee per month; Deputy lists Core at $6.50 per user per month. HeadcountDesk Pro is $24 a month per location.
